I hadnt been to the dentist in 6 years (until recently) not due to fear but due to inability to afford. I only had 4 cavities and they weren’t terrible, the rest of my teeth you couldnt tell i hadnt gone in so long. But i always tried to brush properly and floss when i remembered, which i guess counted for something since i didnt need too extensive of treatment (4 fillings). I was on a juicing diet and was rapidly losing weight. Then I came down with Crohns Disease. One of the most terrifying experiences of my life. I don’t know, nor do the doctors, whether correlation = causation, in my case. I stopped the juicing immediately and began eating my regular food to control the Crohns Disease symptoms, while waiting for my medication. That was 12 years ago. I still don’t know if the juicing components in themselves caused it, i e too much acid; chemicals in the soil; or I was set up for it for other reasons. Now I just take my Rx meds 3x daily and try not to speculate too much, just feel grateful that the medication works.
